2019-2020
Chomchon Fusinpaiboon cooperated with Sarayut Supsook and Mingkwan Nantavisai in designing parts of a long-term project in enhancing main circulation and public open space of Chulalongkorn University. These parts of the project during 2019 and 2020 comprised the improvements of pedestrian walk ways, landscapes, roads, and sewage systems on a route linking two gates of the university.
The design includes the replacement of car parking spaces with universally accessible landscapes and hardscapes for pedestrians and students’ activities. Some of the hardscapes are covered with a series of white roofs on black columns, designed to visually be perceived as “floating white planes, integrating with a predominantly white modernist facades of existing buildings and blending with existing large trees.
