Chomchon Fusinpaiboon cooperated with Sarayut Supsook in designing a multipurpose pavilion at the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. The pavilion has a single main row of steel columns supporting a cantilevered gable roof. It was designed to be both harmonious with historical buildings of the Faculty and aimed to offer students freedom of use; ranging from relaxing, meeting, concert, political demonstration, and more. Some of its elements, i.e. wood columns and decorative iron grills, are reclaimed materials from a demolished building that previously stood on the site.
The Sala/Stage/etc. has been named “Sala Pracharat (People’s Pavilion)”. And these are some uses by students so far (Photos courtesy of Political Science Student Union of Chulalongkorn University, Singhdam Music Club, and Khanin Wilaiprasong).
